Warm family home with timeless elegance
Discover this beautiful family home in Naarden, the residence of a young family of five. From the moment they moved in, they knew that a major renovation would be the next step. Their vision has now become a reality: a spacious basement, a modern extension, and an impressive new window installation that bathes the house in light. Format has been involved in this project from the beginning, designing the entire ground floor with special attention to the kitchen and living room.

The kitchen and living room are a perfect embodiment of a Format project: thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. With almost complete creative freedom, we have created a space that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing and timeless.
OUR APPROACH
The oak kitchen, finished in the color dessert oak with a composite island and countertop, exudes warmth and refinement. The appliances from Gaggenau and V-Zug are seamlessly integrated, with gas knobs subtly recessed into the countertop. Powder-coated stainless steel wall shelves, matching the color of the walls, add refined depth and balance to the space. Additionally, a deliberate design choice was made for a thick countertop on the kitchen island, contrasting with a thinner countertop on the other side, creating a surprising aesthetic. The recessed sink, a custom design, and the strategically placed faucet enhance the minimalist character of the space.
Every material choice reflects sustainability and luxury, considering the needs of an active family. High-quality, durable materials have been selected to withstand intensive daily use without sacrificing appearance. The composite countertops, oak wood, and cast floor are perfectly coordinated.

FORMAT SIGNATURE
The living room has also received a unique and tailored touch. The custom-made TV and furniture unit, along with the bookshelf crafted from the same oak wood and composite as the kitchen, create a harmonious whole, bringing calm and balance to the entire living space. A project that embodies Format down to the last detail.
